I have an Apex-1500 DVD player.
I have encoded many clips into MPEG-1 and 2 format and all have played on this player. Some though will sputter during the clip and slow down or freeze for a few seconds and then speed right back up.
What would be the cause of that? My guess is that the video data isn't being transferred off of the CD fast enough due to the CD's data density being less than that of a DVD.
This posts is merely a question as to whether that could be a reasonable explanation![]()

what is the bitrate of the mpeg?
I have a AD-1000, and anything above 4000 Mb/sec studders. -
I don't have the files with me right now (I'm at work
) but I think they are over the 4000 Mbps limit you mentioned. Now DVDs are encoded at 8000 Mbps so why don't they stutter too? Again is it because the player can't read the information off of the CD fast enough?
