Trying to stream direct the below link for The Eagle WEKL 105.7

    http://www.iheart.com/live/753/

But it uses a proprietary stream thru iHeart
If anyone has any experience with iHeart and can figure source URL out
    I would greatly appreciate it!

    JaxGuy

note: The above link only works for me with Firefox not IE

  2. RtmpExplorer can download from there. It shows the URL as:

    "rtmp://cp19785.live.edgefcs.net/live/" -a "live/" -f "WIN 10,3,181,34" -W "http://www.iheart.com/_/973003a0/flash/fp/flowplayer.ihr-3.2.6.swf" -p "http://www.iheart.com/" --live -y "Sdi_CA_KHTS-FM_OR@s7843?auth=daEc6bIa5brcydicYaybVbfaRb4dHbhdh cG-boLV95-4q-TM1V7_8ppGIpm1GBukArzq&aifp=1234&CHANNELID=241&CPR OG=SIMULCAST&MARKET=SANDIEGO-CA&REQUESTOR=KHTS-FM&SERVER_NAME=service.ccrd.clearchannel.com&SITE_ ID=829&STATION_ID=KHTS-FM&MNM=2&TYPEOFPLAY=0&terminalid=152&uid=0&init_id =8169&profileid=0&fb_broadcast=1&at=0" -o Sdi_CA_KHTS-FM_OR@s7843.flv

    Hi
    That stream uses RTMP method.
It won't play with a media player straight off.
    It needs to use RTMPDump.
(Or RTMPExplorer if you need a GUI)

With RTMPDump the stream can be saved to a file.
Also the stream can be piped to VLC.

    RTMPDump for Windows is here:-
    http://rtmpdump.mplayerhq.hu/download/rtmpdump-20110723-git-b627335-win32.zip

This is the command I used to download the stream to a file:- http://pastebin.com/SssQMDyU
This is the command I used to pipe the stream to VLC:- http://pastebin.com/7PJG3UyY

    EDIT
    The Eagle link keeps changing.
So for Windows users RTMPExplorer is probably helpful to find it each time.
    From here:- http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/RTMPExplorer-freeware-GUI-for-rtmpsrv-Windows.htm

Good music from that station too.

-When attempting to play via VLC I get the following with failed error at end

    RTMPDump 2.4 git-b627335 2011-7-23
    (c) 2010 Andrej Stepanchuk, Howard Chu, The Flvstreamer Team; license: GPL
    Connecting ...
    INFO: Connected...
    ERROR: Closing connection: NetStream.Failed

-When downloading with Vlc, will create a .flv file then I gegt the following streamnot found error
the file by the way is 0 bytes..

    RTMPDump 2.4 git-b627335 2011-7-23
    (c) 2010 Andrej Stepanchuk, Howard Chu, The Flvstreamer Team; license: GPL
    Connecting ...
    INFO: Connected...
    ERROR: Closing connection: NetStream.Play.StreamNotFound
Press any key to continue . . .

So, I have not been able to play as of yet, what am I doing wrong??

Thanks Guys for all the help ...

    Hi
The information is from (post #15) in this thread here --> http://stream-recorder.com/forum/record-clear-channel-radio-stations-iheartradio-com-t6306.html

put your station call letters in the appropriate place and run thru VLC Player and then go to "Media Information" tab and it will give you the akamai stream...

  12. If you look at surfmusic.de you can see that all the links have the same format:

    _http://www.surfmusic.de/media/kiis-fm.m3u (KIIS-FM-102.7 Los Angeles)
    _http://www.surfmusic.de/media/whtz-fm.m3u (WHTZ-FM-100.3 Z100 New York)
    _http://www.surfmusic.de/media/kfi-am.m3u (KFI-AM-640 Los Angeles)
You can use the same format and substitute the Eagle FM call letters:

    http://www.surfmusic.de/media/wekl-fm.m3u

That downloads an M3U playlist. Open that playlist with NotePad and you'll see it contains the URL:

    http://wekl-fm.akacast.akamaistream.net/7/768/25770/v1/auth.akacast.akamaistream.net/wekl-fm

  13. 2 years late but w.e

was bored today and wanted to listen to a local radio, so i spent the 5 minutes to figure out iheart.com's url scheme

    1) go to any iheart.com radio station.
    2) look at url. should look like /blah/blah/live/305/ or /blah/blah/live/STAR-1013-281/
    3) station id is last number, so 305 for first example and 281 for second example
    4) go to http://www.iheart.com/a/live/station/<insert station id here without the carets>/
    5) shoutcast url is right there, just remove extra \

    if they ever change it:
    1) look at their minified js (tusiq.js)
    2) look for the class of the play button. See what function it's hooked to (they use jquery)
    or
    2) look for station object, with functions like loadStation, etc.

You do NOT speak for the majority of members here with that statement. I'd say that while this particular example of adding to an older thread is OK, it's not something we like or recommend and the vast majority of additional posts years later are pointless. Your enthusiasm might be a bit more restrained if you saw as many threads as I have that have been dug up from their graves years later to do the following:

The new post says "Thanks for helping me". Imagine what it would be like if EVERY thread had people doing this.

The new post simply restates exactly what others have previously said and offers no new insights of any kind.

The new post asks questions of the original poster, who hasn't logged in here in years.

The original post didn't have some question answered (probably just an unlucky case of a post that just got ignored - it happens), but since then we have had numerous other posts on the same subject that contain more information and answer the question there and the new poster is convinced that 8-10 years or even more later, everybody in the original thread has never learned to do what the thread was about and we've all been waiting for years for him to be the first person on earth to help us get over that hurdle.
