Lite On RM-51 remote problems

Hi.

I have a Lite On 5005A dvd recorder that I have had for about 7-8 years. It has performed admirably so far and I use it a lot.

However, the remote (RM-51) is acting up. The guider button works fine but the power, open tray and edit buttons are not functional. I replaced the batteries ans checked them for full charge. No problem.

It is it time for a new recorder? The Lite On has been very cost effective. Is the remote replaceable/
