is there an undocumented way of obtaining a date of each registry entry ?

i find that when i install products of similar make, these keys (among other things) are either added into an already existing key group or not. i'd like to determine if they are/are not so that i can deside if the key is worth looking into further.

    thank you for any info.

You can export the key that you want as a text file and it will show you the timestamp, there are a few programs that you can find on google that will show you the timestamp as well.
    I think,therefore i am a hamster.

i must have overlooked that. thank you. it was a huge file, can't open in notepad, locks up. but i was able to import (via linking) into ms access db and now is fast finding keys. its crude bc i threw together real quick. anyway, i will do further google search, thanks again.
