    Hi All;

I have Mov clips with my native language with very poor quality and I also have Avi of the same video in English.
I would like to put the audio from MOV to Avi but the problem is that my Avi is 23.976 and my MOV is 25 fps.
I have converted the mov to Avi 23.976 and even my new Avi audio is playing right but still the length is not the same

I would be grateful for any help

    But is the audio synced?

The length wont be same if your converter has stretched the audio to match the new framerate.

  3. Or do you mean the file size has changed after the conversion?

By length I mean then time length of the audio, and no , its not synced
I have used several convert programs with the same result

Assuming you know both languages (so you can verify the sync is matching), I would strongly suggest just using a standard NLE (non-linear editor), such as Vegas, Premiere, Edius, MediaComposer, FinalCut, MovieMagixEdit, PowerDirector, etc. Then you can put both audio tracks in their own layer, and chop & slide (one of) them around so they sync up as best as possible.
Understand, however, that it is OFTEN the case where a movie from one country/system is NOT of the same editing makeup as a movie from another country/system, so even getting start times & lengths correct doesn't necessarily ensure that both will maintain sync throughout.

    Thanks for the suggestion
    I'm using Power Director
This would work if there was one or two movies
There are over 50 movies and, it would take a long time to do it your way and the background sound would not be correct
Some of them are 23.679 and they can be dubbed straightaway, problem is only with 25fps

I was assuming there was an easier way to do it

No, there really ISN'T an easier way to do it.

But when I talk about moving things around, when they "sync up" the background sounds ARE correct. That's the whole point of syncing things up. You realize, of course, that the speech patterns of 2 different languages aren't going to exactly match up, right? E.g. English is a lot more "compact" and quicker to say than, say, French. Having done a number of En/Fr dual-language projects, I can attest to this from experience. Sync the backgrounds, or what's known in the 'biz as "M&E" (Music & Effects) tracks.

What you say about two languages is correct
Perhaps I didn't make myself clear
If I can convert the 25fps to 23.97 in a way that the frames on both videos become the same, my work is done but I could not find a software to do this
    Is there such a software?

No, that is not possible to go 25 to 23.97 keeping the same frames (nor the reverse). Either you are blending/interpolating or you are adding/removing frames, or you are changing the duration. Think about it. It's kind of like "square peg - round hole".
