How To Burn in Subtitles into mp4 movie

Hello,I got one problem,I bought Blu-Ray Panasonic DMP-BDT 220EG,and when i watch movie in mp4 via usb,i can't turn on the subtitles,the name of the movie and subtitles are in the same folder and with the same name,Blu-Ray does not recognize subtitles,but my PC does,But when I play movie in mkv or avi format via usb, my Blu Ray recognized the subtitles and i can turn it on,so my question is whether there is any program that i could burn subtitles into movie,i think that could help

Make a mkv from the mp4. Use mkvtoolnix. Add the mp4 and subtitle and make a new mkv. No video reconversion

Thank you answering me,this program works on my PC but when I play movie in my Blu-ray,pictures freezes every 20 sec.

You could then try reconvert it. Use for example the very simple freemake video converter, load your mp4, add the subtitle, convert to a new mp4 or avchd/bluray.

Thank you it's working now,can you tell me how can I do that with 3D movie SBS,because i try reconvertit it,film works normally,but subtitles are huge and messy on my screen,Regards
