Hi,

I am thinking about purchasing an HD-PVR2 but have a problem with it's ports. First of all, I will be using it for my PS3, which as I understand cannot be done through HDMI thanks to HDCP. There only seems to be an Optical IN port, no OUT. My question is, is there a way I can have it so I can record and play sound through Optical? I ask because I have a DAC connected to my XLR connected speakers, the DAC has static when playing things through RCA, so I use optical cords to play games.

Ultimately my question is, with the HD-PVR2, is it possible for me to play games through my speakers, and record NOT using RCA at the same time?
