  1. Could someone give me (somewhat detailed) directions on how to switch out a WMV file's audio track for another without recompressing the file?

I can make the new audio track exactly the same length beforehand. I tried using ASFbin but that just said "general compatbility error" when I tried to add the new WMA file I'd made for the purpose.

I've heard Expression Encoder bandied around - what exactly would I do within that program to achieve this result?

    Thanks

Well, AsfBin is not bug-free (sadly). When it fails, I give a try to SolveigMM ASF Multiplexer or ffmpeg.

As for Expression Encoder... well, JMO, I think it's overkill to use a heavy-weight bloatware just for remuxing one file
(assuming that it can remux ASF files, I have never used it, so I don't know).

  5. Note this website hotlinks to WME . But you want to use Windows Media Stream Editor specifically, which comes with WME , not WME which is for encoding
