problems ripping/broken blocks

Hello All:
I've had some problems with a few movies, pearl harbor being my current one. Get to vob #4 about 190 megs into it, and just hangs. Drops to 0.1x. I am able to rip everything else fine. Tried ripping the #4 vob with smartripper, dvd decrypter, clad, vstrip, all current versions. Get the same results. Also notice in smartripper it saying broken blocks. Are these the problem? I've heard of others ripping this dvd with no problems, so i'm assuming it's me/setting/os (XP Pro).

I think it might be that particular disc. I'm having the same problem with disc one of a three disc set of Buffy the Vampire Slayer-First Season. There are 4 episodes per disc and everthing rips fine except for episode 3 on the first disc. It always hangs at the same place and Smart Ripper 2.41 won't close by itself. Somestimes SmartRipper will show broken blocks and sometimes not but it's always 24% into the rip. It's like it's looping or something. In WinXP it takes forever for Task Manager to open and close the program. The original disc has problems playing this episode on my pc with also pauses in certain areas and everyonce in a while it will lock also which is the main reason I was trying to rip it and making a better working copy.
