Look in the Tools section under DVD Authoring
ConvertXtoDVD is good but it is not freeSONY 75" Full array 200Hz LED TV, Yamaha A1070 amp, Zidoo UHD3000, BeyonWiz PVR V2 (Enigma2 clone), Chromecast, Windows 11 Professional, QNAP NAS TS851 -
Then you didn't install all that was needed.

BaaGGHo: Did you install the 'portable' version? That version doesn't install any of the necessary programs for AVStoDVD to work, and also isn't supported by the author, last I checked. Download the regular version, and let it install everything, as manono mentioned.
Also, if you need help with AVStoDVD, the author (_MrC_) can be found here at VideoHelp, and there's also a dedicated support thread, here.If cameras add ten pounds, why would people want to eat them? -
me followed a guide (https://forum.videohelp.com/threads/353284-AVStoDVD-beginners-guide-Any-video-to-DVD-Video), some settings i do not know. much difficult for me.
today, finally i get it done from my regular video shop nicely.
i am watching now. very happy. -
i have a question.
when me put avi and mp4 files on DVD by nero, dvd player played avi nice but when selecting mp4 got black and white lines running up and down on tv.
is something wrong with dvd player or mp4 file?
if convert mp4 to avi, and put avi on dvd by nero, will it work on dvd player? -

If you author the video to dvd and burn as a dvd than any dvd player will play it (assuming you have an ntsc dvd and an ntsc dvd player, if its pal and your in ntsc land you have some issues to tackle).
I'm not sure about the black and white lines you are mentioning. I assume the original file plays ok on your computer? If so something about its insides (the guts) are fouling up your dvd player and will need to be reencoded. That means either making a real dvd using avstodvd or another program or reencoding it to another file using an h264 encoder or a divx or xvid encoder.
Again it depends on the player in question and what it can and can't play.
Also you really should burn the final video_ts folder or data file with imgburn and not nero. Imgburn is highly recommended here.
You can use nero to convert video files if you wish but there are lots of other choices too. Handbrake and ripbot264 are two such programs along with format factory.
Find out what your dvd player can play and format accordingly. Or take the guess work out and convert to dvd standard.
Fyi ntsc is for North America and Japan and pal is for most of the rest of the world.
Also dvd players only handle standard resolution - 720x480 for nstc and 720x576 for pal. Anything higher will have to be reencoded to a lower resolution and will not look as good as the original.
You could save all the hassle and save up for a media player designed to play digital files. Western digitals wdtv media players series is highly recommended on this website (I have one and do recommend it). Or check out the newest bluray players that play digital files from a usb drive. They are not as versatile as a dedicated media player like the wdtv but they are much more advanced then a dvd player and can play hd files (that is 1280x720 and 1920x1080).Donatello - The Shredder? Ok the second one looks to be h264 video with aac audio.
The one that plays is xvid with mp3 audio.
Use something like format factory to convert the mp4 file to xvid with mp3 audio and you will be able to play it.
Just keep in mind when converting you will lose some quality. Keep the bitrate high to minimize the loss but there will be loss in a conversion. It may not be perceptible though.Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw? -
for Mp4Cam2AVI, me found some information here (http://mp4cam2avi.sourceforge.net/guide.htm).
will try it after reading. -
you are welcome.
There are many other programs aside from mp4cam2avi to try as well. But give at a try and see how it goes for you.Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw? -
it worked for 6 files out of 8. happy with.
one mp4 file got error:
can not locate audio ES config.
one avi file give following error while bringing mouse over:
AVI Chunk Viewer open
This AVI file was not prepared for sequential reading,
the alternative 'Avi Splitter' will now let the default
one handle it. The complete reinterleaving of this file
is strongly recommended before burning it onto a slow
media like cd-rom.
