  4. DVD Shrink.
Open DVD Shrink and go into it's options and change the target output size to something really large (ie 50000MB) so DVD Shrink won't try to re-encode the video.
Open one of the ripped DVDs with DVD Shrink and click the Re-author button at the top. In the right pane there'll usually be a number of titles. Drag the desired episode title from the right pane to the left. You can drag just one title to save it individually or drag them all over to save them in a single folder (the vob files will still be split into episodes). You can also use the DVD browser to add a second and third DVD etc if you wish to combine them. The titles aren't necessarily numbered according to episode so use the preview to check you're selecting the correct title. Altenatively you can use MPC-HC to open the ripped DVD and play each episode. It'll display the corresponding title in it's status bar if you have the View/Information menu enabled.

Whether you drag one title over or multiple titles, use the backup function to save the re-authored DVD to a new folder. If you want each episode in it's own folder, drag one, use backup, delete it from the left pane, drag another one over, use backup..... etc etc.
When the backup is complete you'll have a set of vob files per episode. If you want a single, large vob file per episode, there's an option in the backup window to tell DVD Shrink not to split the vob files into 1GB segments.

I have tried dvd shrink when i tried to add the files to it so i could work on it, it popped up a message saying error couldnt read file, so then i went to reauther and tried to pull it up that way but when i did and it showed me all of my seperate files they were only 20 seconds long when they should have been 30 mins, so im not sure what happened there

  7. I'm not sure either..... unless the files have been ripped as DVD video complaint files, DVD Shrink may have trouble with them.
You could try MakeMKV. It should open a set of ripped DVD files and convert individual titles to separate MKV files for you..... no re-encoding. If it also has problems I'd guess the DVDs weren't ripped correctly (as a standard set of DVD video files).
