mkv file converting

can anyone explain why the mkv files increase 3 fold when itty to burn to blurry? I use Leawo bluray creator for Mac.. an example..
the mkv size7.04 gig but when i drag it to the program it shows size as 24.8 gig! and can only be burned as low quality!
this happens on every file mkv or mpeg4..can anyone help?

Because leawo craps reconverts with higher video bitrate=bigger file size.

In windows can you use avchdcoder, bdtoavchd, multiavchd,etc to make a blu-ray/avchd from many mkvs without reconverting. I haven't seen anything like that on max osx. Maybe tsmuxer but it wont work on all mac osx versions.

Or just connect your laptop hdmi directly to your TV and play.

I don't have a Mac, but maybe you would like to try 4Videosoft MKV Video Converter. They have a trial period. I try it and purchased the program. To me it solved all my problems, plus their conversion is fast, and great picture.
