This is a DR570KU; bought it used a couple months ago. I usually just leave it on all the time but when you use the program timer, it turns off at the end of the time. When I turn it back on, the clock is always several hours off. Anybody ever heard of this?
Thanks
Here's the really weird thing: You have to turn it off in order for the timer to work. So it's turned off before the program and after. But it doesn't screw up the clock before the program, only after it!

I have heard of something like that when a DVD recorder's clock sets itself automatically from an ATSC signal instead of a human setting the clock manually. The time in the signal is often wrong in most cities. Sometimes it is wrong only by a couple of minutes, but other times it can be wrong by a matter of hours. I have seen the amount vary according to the channel, and it can be off by different amounts on the same channel over the course of a day.

Go into the clock set up menu and switch the clock time setting to "Manual".Last edited by usually_quiet; 5th Feb 2013 at 16:53.

Manual is the only way that works. I've never been able to get the auto setting to work, either with the Toshiba or my Panasonic. Manual is the only way that works. I've never been able to get the auto setting to work, either with the Toshiba or my Panasonic.
