  1. I am trying to split an .mpeg and burn it as a VCD using EZCD. I did a test and set it up with the unsplit file and it works fine. It is just to big for one CD. I split the .mpeg in to two (almost) equal sizes using TMPGenc and now EZCD tells me each of the two new files is not VCD compliant and will not play on a VCD player. I tried to ignore the message and burn anyhow only to have my PC lock up. I tried again with NERO and had the same problem with the split files. Any ideas?

I had that problem myself for a while ago..
But i did this and it works fine..
    When u use tmpgenc's mpegtools i assume u use merge&cut.
There´s a little option-window in the main window called : Type
It¨s default is MPEG-1 System (automatic), but this doesn´t allway work so set it to: MPEG-1 Video-CD..
    Hope this works 4U to..
