Hello everybody!.I just purchased a Samsung Blu Ray burner, the SE-506BB burner with the hope that i finaly could get my videofiles to Blu Ray.Well it wasnt that easy,i have tried a handfull of different programs and getting error-messages all the time.I used DVD-Flick to burn a normal low res disc to see if it could be the burner that was flawed,it turned out perfect. What im looking for is a reliable program that will allow me to burn various high res videofiles,WMV,MP4,AVI,MKV to Blu Ray WITHOUT having the program to reencode them again, the videos are allready edited and finished.I would still like to have a menu on the disc or atleast video thumbnails. The disc should also be playable on any Blue Ray player.Help is needed, regards Nick.

I don't think multiAVCHD re-encodes Blu-Ray compliant video and audio. It is the only free Blu-Ray authoring software I know of that might produce a result that is close to what you asked for. If multiAVCHD doesn't come close enough to satisfy you, then you will have to pay in the neighborhood of $100 to get something better.

Sorry, I haven't looked at anything other than multiAVCHD, and have barely tried that. I usually burn media files as data because I either use a computer to play them or a Blu-Ray player that plays .mpg and MPEG-2 .ts files.

Tsmuxer can output a bluray folder. Burn with imgburn.

Edit - but I believe it will have to be fully bluray compliant first to be a "true" bluray disc.

otherwise just burn data files and you'll probably be better off - burn with imgburn again

Edit - also multiavchd isn't being updated anymore so you might run into errors along the way that won't be resolvable possibly.
Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw?

Sorry i am truly a beginner at this....if i create a data disc instead, will it be playable on any Blu Ray player and will i get menus?,i thought they would only be usable on a computer. Also, for future video editing, wich format should i stick to that are best quality/easiest to use and compatible with a Blu Ray player?

As I recall multiAVCHD allows creating simple menus but tsmuxer authors menuless Blu-Ray discs. Unfortunately, if the notes on their VideoHelp tools page are accurate, it appears that development has ended for both tsmuxer and multiAVCHD.

Data discs do not have a menu, but a Blu-Ray player that supports playing media files from a disc will list the files on the disc by name. Data discs containing only media files do not play on all Blu-Ray players, but many will play them, with limitations. It is necessary to check the player's manual to find out what is supported.
