Front mask on vhs player causes tape not to exit off everything ok

I simply don't know how to describe this more simpler. When i put the front mask the tape enters the VCR plays and all normal but when i try to eject it is stuck. If i get off the front mask all OK. I figure it out that maybe it is not align with the main unit and did it again and again and again. I tried first from top side then the bottom side tried first bottom then top side, tried to evenly push the mask to set on place and the same thing. Lubricated the spring of the mask no good mask by it self works VCR by it self no problem but 2 together not so good. The VCR was in basement so i thought that maybe the plastic changed it form i inspected closely and think that that is not the case. I have experience in electronics soldering and such but really don't know what is the problem

Are you saying the cassette door doesn't open when ejecting the tape?

If so, remove the plastic front panel and while holding the door full open, reinstall the front panel.

exactly that thanks buddy it seems long time so i forgot those pesky details, now works it never crossed my mind that could be that

Now some other problem arise with mask in place the vcr started to jam the cassette doesn't it eject the tapes but always jams the tape it seems like some timing is screwed now.
So i have to manually take out the tape from the vcr, also when i push play the part of the tape goes little further.
I guess i screwed the vcr with his shitty mask
