Hello there!
No idea where this should be posted, but here goes.
Basically I record a fps game with Fraps, I then edit in Sony Vegas Pro 9.
My ingame settings are 1680x1050.
I am currently rendering with these settings..
Windows media Video V11 (wmv)
6 Mbps HD 720-30p Video
Under Video Tab - CBR or Quality VBR
Windows Media Video 9
High definition (1280x720)
Pixel aspect ratio 1.000 (square)
Frame rate 29.970 (NTSC)
Seconds per keyframe 5
Project quality is set to best
My Pc spec is..
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5 CPU 760@280GHz 2.80 GHz
Installed memory: 4.00 GB (3.46) usable
32-bit Operating system
Graphics, ATI Radeon HD5850 1 GB
I can play the videos on YouTube at 720p HD.
The quality is fine, although some writing is blurred and the general video is not as crisp as it could be.
Now I could just make do, however that isn't quite in my nature.
I do not know enough about this subject to fix my own problem, although I have tried various render settings etc in
Just to add I play these videos before rendering in Windows Media Player and the quality is fantastic.
Vegas.
Kind Regards.

you'd probably get better video on youtube uploading mp4 video. can't remember exactly which encoder to use for vegas9 but i think that one used the sony avc encoder and the internet 720p template. use a comparable bitrate to the wmv ~ 6mbps and see if there's any improvement.
