  1. using the wintv 7 to record I accidently turned off my computer before it finished converting. 2 questions:

    1. is there a way to just have it record into mpg instead of a ts file like it used to in previous versions?
    2. now I have this ts file sitting here, can I maually get it to convert it from winTV?

It records in TS - then you need to wait until it makes an MPEG2 file out of it.
There is a setting in WinTV7 (which I think you have found already) that automatically
converts to MPEG2 after you stop recording...but you still need to wait until it converts.
I know it's done by listening to my hard drive.

If the TS file is not damaged.....AviDemux should do the trick.
