I can merge the VOB files with VOBMerge. The merged file plays fine in my computer, but gets an 'unsupported file' error on my DVD player. Any help please.

That's because a DVD with one, giant VOB file is not a "DVD".

Author it to a real dvd(VIDEO_TS folder with ifo, bup, vob files). You can use something like dvdstyler and load the big vob and make a dvd. Burn the VIDEO_TS folder with Imgburn.

And I guess you are talking about real dvd vob files(mpeg2/mpeg1 video) and not vob files created with mkv2vob.

Is your player capable of playing video "files" or can it only play DVDs?

I can rip clips with DVDShrink. But they are all labelled VOB 1 so won't burn with ImgBurn. Is there a simple way to burn the clips ro play continuously in a DVD player

What makes you think your DVD player will play a VOB that's greater than 1GB? Do you understand why VOB files are spit up? Did you read the link that was provided (https://www.videohelp.com/dvd#struct)? You don't seem to be getting what people are telling you about DVD structures.

    I don't
    No
    Yes
That's why I keep asking questions to people smarter than me.

  10. You'll have to make little DVDs of your clips, or of the single VOBs you created using VobMerge. Baldrick already gave you one suggestion. Another is IFOEdit (in the bottom center, "Create IFOs".
