  1. I bought awhile ago and never bothered trying it out until now. Somehow along the way I lost the CD with the drivers and software. I found the drivers over at SHS's website. I have a folder on my computer called "HD PVR version 2.2 Full CD" which I think is the correct software.

I looked at the quick installation guide that was in the box. I have the component cables from the receiver going into the HD PVR and the USB cable plugged into a USB slot on the computer. The computer is not detecting the USB cable and when I go into the software folder mentioned earlier and click on setup, it won't accept the drivers or the software. I have tried to install the software several times and it has failed each time. I think I will try another USB cable in the even this one is a bad one. Beyond that I haven't a clue other than my computer is a Windows 7 computer and the software says Vista.

Any advice is greatly appreciated. I hope I am able to get this working. I bought it at Future Shop Canada.

  2. I just checked the usb cable by plugging it into the USB slot on my Windows XP computer. It works it recognized it as the Hauppauge USB device. So this is not recognized by the USB on my Windows 7 computer.

  3. I went to Device Driver and under the tab "Other Devices" Hauppauge HD PVR is listed. When I right click and select properties it tells me the driver is not installed for this device. I tried updating the driver and it searched the internet and couldn't find the driver.

  4. You can find the latest drivers on Hauppauge's website, the most recent version is 1.7 iirc. Works fine on XP and W7 for me. The older drivers were a bit of a pain to get the device to show up correctly I had to switch the device on first and then switch on the PC or it wouldn't recognise the device.
