    I have some AVI files whch i want to put onto VCD, how can i convert them to the appropriate mpeg file type?

    and what other steps do i need to take to create a good VCD?



    any help would be much appreciated.....

  3. The Easiest way to do this is to get NERO 5.5
    Nero will encode your .Avi to .Mpeg & Burn to VCD format all in one step, you can't beat it, Nero Rocks!

    Bad advise, Don't use Nero to convert avi to mpg. The quality sucks, & a lot of video/audio sync problem.

    Go to tools section and download the free conversion programs. Any of them will beat Nero by miles. Tmpgenc is the most popular program.

    Use Nero only to burn CD's. Read Sefy's guide, personally I think it is the best guide for newbies.
