I have a Canon Legria HV40 and has always used Pinnacle, recently Piccacle Studio 15, for capturing and editing.
I now bought Adobe Premiere Pro 6 to try to improve my end products. I have just installed it, but no matter what I do, I cannot get a preview video. The audio is fine. I can see the video on the camera and the clips capture fine, but no video on the PC screen.
I suppose one can say- use the camera screen, but I do not like it.
Found this in a thread, but it did not work:
Try this:
1. Quit Premiere Pro.
2. Copy the mc_dec_mp2v.dll file from this location:
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Premiere Pro CS5.5\Plibs
... and put it here:
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Premiere Pro CS5.5\
3. Restart Premiere Pro.
The problem appears to be that the installer isn't putting a copy of this DLL in the right place.
