    Since i"ve started using ripbot 264 a lot again lately I was wondering about its name. Why is it called ripbot? The term "rip" would imply ripping or copying off a disc. This is purely a converting software package.

    Just curious.......
    Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw?

    I suppose for a similar reason that a lot of people refer to the entire transcoding process as "ripping", e.g., "ripping bluray to dvd".

    Could be.

    Maybe even though the developers have got to be super techy people maybe they wanted it called something a "layman" would understand.
