  1. Please help, Im about the pull off my hair and already eating my nails with this problem.

    Server: Ubuntu 12.04
    Web Server: Apache 2.2.22
I have also compiled and installed and enabled Apache Modules; the mod flv module from here, as well as the H264 streaming module from here. I was hoping that these Apache modules would be the fix to my problem, which did not.

My workstation is Linux and Im using Avidemux for encoding my video files.

Im testing with 3 different players; MediaElement.js, JW Player and MediaFront player. All players are supposed to play the media with HTML5 where the support is available and they fallback to flash player mode when it is not.

    First Try:
Im encoding the video file to a MP4 containter; using h264 & aac codecs. When I finish I use qt-faststart to move the moov atom to the beginning of the file.

All below results are the same with all 3 players mentioned above.
    IE9: HTML5 player, video seeks with no-problem.
Chrome: HTML5 player, video seeks with no-problem.
Firefox: Flash player, video does NOT seek.

    Second Try:
This time Im encoding the file to a FLV container; using the Sorenson Spark & mp3 codecs. When I finish I use FLVmeta tool to inject the FLV Metadata to the file. Which I "think" does its job successfully.

Now again, all the below results are the same with all 3 players.
IE9: Flash player, seek does NOT work.
Chrome: Flash player, seek does NOT work.
Firefox: Flash player, seek does NOT work.

I have tried, tested this a couple of times on my local pc, on a virtual machine and on the server itself but could not manage to make the seek work properly, nor I could see what the problem might be.

Please do tell me what I gotta do to have a streaming video that does seeks on all 3 browsers?
    Thank you...
