Hey everyone!
I recently formatted my computer and re-installed windows 7.
I installed all my sound and video drivers, and had a hell of a time getting my AC3/DTS pass through to work again, but finally it works.
The problem now is, I can't seem to get DXVA to work.
I use MPC-HC, FFDShow, and Haali splitter. I have DXVA checked off in FFDShow for both h264 and VC-1.
To my understanding, I have to uncheck anything DXVA related in MPC's transform and source filters section, so the system should default to FFDShow instead. It doesn't seem to enable DXVA. I also set FFDShow as a preferred filter in MPC, it doesn't help either. MPC never shows "playing (DXVA)" while a video is played back.
In the codecs section of FFDShow, where I can set the decoder for each format, what should the h.264/AVC be set as? My options are libavcodec or disabled.
What am I missing here?
Thanks

Well I fixed this too. I followed a guide I found here:
http://forums.bakabt.me/index.php?topic=10948.0
Basically I had to get MPC to block any external dxva filters, except haali media splitter, and it works!
