I need to create a .mov files that reference an audio.wav and a video.m2v file. The wav and m2v files would have an absolute path.
example given.
/fs0/clip.dir/file.mov
and
/fs0/clip.dir/media.dir/audio.wav
/fs0/clip.dir/media/video.m2v
I am not even sure if this is possible. I have seen requests and syntax to do the opposite, but that does not help me much.
I need to create files in this way in order to play back on an Omneon Spectrum video server. It only accepts MOV and IMX wrappers/containers, and I don't want to even get near IMX wrappers.
Any idea if this can be done using ffmpeg or ffmbc (ffmpeg broadcast)
Thanks in advance.

Hi, I am just wondering if you managed to create your.mov reference file. I need to do exactly the same thing and am having difficulties.

I think I may have worked it out. You need to open your video file in QuickTime player 7, it has to be 7, then drag and drop any other files you want to reference on top, then select file and save as, then chose save reference movie. This should then create a tiny .mov reference file.
