I download movies and documentaries from torrent sites, mostly to do with ww2, but others as well. I watch them on my tv using a Sony bluray player.
I use convertxtodvd to convert them to dvd. But every now and again i burn one to dvd and i cant play it. My bulray player gives me an error message that doesnt make any sense, sometimes saying the disc may be dirty when its brand new. So i dont believe the error messages are correct. I believe its because the dvd was made for a different region. I just downloaded a documentary called The LIberation of Europe. I converted it from matroski to dvd. Somewhere i got a message saying it was not the correct region, i cant remember where but it wasnt from my bluray player. The dvd works fine on my pc but not on my bluray player.

Is there any way to change the region code to number 1 ? If so, when is that done, before i use convertxtodvd, after?
    Any help appreciated.
    thanks
