So I've written a guide about how to start with encoding for people who don't know where to begin. And since I don't have many people around me who understand encoding && have time to even read it, I've decided to post it here to get feedback and also to make it more accessable.

Please excuse the grammar - I'm not a native speaker, so bear with me.

Any advices, additions, critics, in other words feedback, is very appreciated.

  2. More tutorial like this, there is never enough but you should stress out that it is focused to encode anime from avi or DVD.

Maybe it is my problem but I always think there is misunderstanding what we talk about here , our own videos or movies, techniques might be different how to apply filters.

well, i wrote it in the introduction, that i do anime.. it was meant for general use, i only made examples there with anime since i don't have other sources xD btw it's not from avi and dvd only, it should give general idea how to start.. directshowsource() can read much more than just avi.. but anyway, you're right, i'll stress out more that the examples are for anime, thanks
