    what programs out there to convert my dvd's so i can create a movie server to watch in other format

    Do you want to stream them?

    If so use playon, tversity, or ps3mediaserver.

    If you just want a general converting tool to make h264 or divx files use format factory.

    You might want to be more specific by what you mean with movie server.

    sorry i didn't give more detail my current setup is to put in divx, avi, ect type files I currently have ps3, blurae, and multiple computers where it is networked and some files(I do have dvd movies of these files) some friends gave me in avi and mkv are playable on all the devices but are on my external hard drive connected to one laptop
