I'm thinking of buying Jeremiah Season 2 from iTunes (my son just got his iPod), but I'd want to be able to watch it on my regular TV. Is there a way to convert the .m4v files to regular mpeg2 format so I could burn them onto DVD-R's?

Once you strip off the DRM protection, FAVC will produce good quality DVDs for you. I don't like the iTunes software, and we can't buy any videos of any worth over here anyway, so I can't help you with stripping Apple's childish DRM.

That FAVC looks like it would do the trick for converting to mpeg2. I don't know if I'm using the wrong search terms or what, but I can't find any threads specific to removing the DRM from downloaded iTunes video files. Does anyone have any suggestions, or could point me at a thread I'm missing. Any help greatly appreciated, thanks!

As far as I know you CAN'T remove the DRM from any video you buy from Apple. Thus there is no way to convert these files to MPEG-2. I have only seen references to removing DRM from music sold on iTunes, not videos. I am afraid that you are out of luck.
