    Lets say I have a bunch of SD NTSC clips 720x480.

    Whats the best way of uploading them to youtube so that when they are played, they fill the frame.
    (there are no black bands at either side, or the top).

    ...and is it the same for PAL?

    What is the aspect ratio? If they are in 16:9 with no black borders just upload directly.

    If they still have black borders could you resize them to a 16:9 resolution like ~720x408.

    If they are in 4:3 or 2.35:1 I think you have to crop and resize to 16:9.
