I have a project that requires me to transfer cassette tapes to digital format. so far i have been doing this with out a computer.
I need to get the audio files on to the computer and saved onto a backup hd. I have 1200 cassette tapes to transfer. I want to transfer to digital format without compressing so i can make adjustments to noise and volume. i'm very new at this. How big of a HD would i need to hold all 1200 recordings? They are all 90-min. cassettes. Any info on how to properly do this would be appreciated. The proper format, if i want to edit later etc. I'm using an imac. and tape to cd device. Please help!!
