I recently figured out how to download and decode and then recode a movie to a cd in vcd format. I went to download another movie but the silly thing is a text document. I used GRABIT as a newsgroup reader. Is there any way of changing or formating them so I don't have to redownload them again. If not how do I download them without them being a text document. I need help. Please send detailed info alse. I am a newbie. e-mail wdenney@nycap.rr.com thank you in advance.

I have downloaded some strange extensions (.bmp for instance) in the past from various sites. Normally you just rename the file to .avi or .mpg and play it and all ok. (I'm not familiar with grabbit so sorry if this advice is bad!).
