My Pioneer has macrovision problem.
Earlier It played all Original DVD well.
Now I have video problem. Video is becoming Dark then bright then dark then bright then ...
(Like playing recorded disney VHS tapes).
I think some configuration went wrong. My 2 year old son might have played with remote.
Anybody have any idea about this problem.
How to factory rest the config info.

are you running the DVD through the VCR to the TV? because otherwise, i think the gain control on either your tv or dvd is messed up. i don't think there's anything you can do on the remote that would have that effect. try going through the setup menu, there's a reset in there somewhere, or read in the manual (it tells you how in case you lose the parental lock code or something).
also, you can call pioneer's 1-800 service # if you're in the US. they're usually pretty helpful. -

your VCR might be seeing a macrovision signal and sending that to the tv. if you go directly to the tv, you should have no problems. or go from receiver to tv. just skip the vcr and that should fix your problem. not all dvds have macrovision or strong enough macrovision to trigger the vcr's detection.

Mine does that as well. I can only notice it when I am watching widescreen, the black bars go bright then dark like yours. It isn't to bad for me, but I am usually watching VCDs and I can't tell on them. I am going from DVD player to receiver to tv. It is also a 333
