Hi, I have some MKV files which are displaying in incorrect aspect ratio through some media players.
I think the problem is that the H.264 codec bitstream has an aspect ratio of 712x478 (checked with tsMuxeR), while the MKV header aspect ratio is 712 x 535 (MKVMerge). I think the latter is the correct AR for 4:3 and any media player that grabs the AR from the MKV header shows the files properly.
However, XBMC player appears to use the codec stream AR instead, resulting in a slightly "fatter" picture than 4:3 where everything is slightly stretched.
Is there a way to change the aspect ratio of the codec stream so that these files display in proper 4:3 in media players such as XBMC?
Thanks
