I just purchased a new DVD player, a Panasonic DVD Blu-Ray PLayer Model SC-BTT270. Everything is working fine except I cant get video oto play on the TV. I can hear the audio of the DVD but cant see the picuture. I replaced my old DVD player and used the same cables that worked on it with the same configuration. I have a HDMI plugged into the DVD player going out to the HDMI3 port on the TV. Also, there is a red and white cable for audio from the DVD player to the Directv Box. This is the same setup I had before. I know I have to find the right source on the DVD player and/or the TV and I think that is my issue. However, I do not know which one to use, I have tried them all but still think my issue is with the source. Thanks to any and all that respond to what is probably a very simple issue for most of you. Thanks for your time. Scott

Make very detailed note of where everything is plugged in right now. Then, unplug EVERYTHING. Then, plug ONLY the HDMI out from the DVD player to an HDMI in on the TV. Set the TV input for that HDMI choice.
If it doesn't work, it's either a problem with that TV slot (so choose another HDMI slot and try again), or with the cable or with the DVD player. If you've used the cable successfully before, it could be the player (unless there's some setup that you're supposed to go through to enable HDMI as the output default...).
Something tells me you didn't have such a simple setup, though, if you were sending Audio from the DVD player through to the DirectTV box...

Check the HDMI plug, my HDMI plug in back of my DTV box gets easily moved. This causes problems with the pi not being seen.

The TV is a flat screen Visio. I will check the actual model when I get home and add it to this thread. Thanks for the responses, I will follow through with the advice and see what happens.

You don't need the red/white audio cables. HDMI carries audio. The fact that you're hearing audio but not seeing video makes me suspect you have the wrong input selected on the TV. Ie, you have HDMI3 selected on the TV but the cable plugged into HDMI2. Something like that.
