I am new to virtualdub (64), encountering 2 issues

    1. great picture but intermittent flashing on lower part of pic, seems to be the top of the same pic flashing on the bottom of the screen.

    2. very low volume on audio, set at maximum

    Doesn't seem to be using a lot of cpu, 5 - 30%

Please give more information about your source video, use mediainfo, open your video and change to view->text and copy and paste the info in this thread. And then tell us what you are converting to, video and audio codec and if you are using any filters.

And maybe also post a screenshot or short sample of the video.

I am using a honestech converter box connected to an Atlantic Scientific DVR with composite connections. Same issues when using the Honestech software or the virtualdub. This is all new to me.

    1.The sound is barely audible.
    2. I get a intermitten flashing on the bottom of the screen which looks like it is duplicating part of the picture a second time, over laying 10 - 25% of the bottom of the main picture. It doesn't remain, just flashes long enough to see it.
