I bought an Apex 703 from a electronics store. After a week it blew up literally. It scorched a DVD of mine and didn't read ANY media after that. It had been flashed with the firmware upgrade to make it region free and worked fine for that week. The replacement they gave me is now manufactured in 8/00 instead of 10/00. After investigating through these posts and the net I found what patch to use for 10/00, but which patch do I use for 8/00. I don't wanna open the case becuase of the service plan I bought and previous problems with the model. Can anyone with this manufacturing date on theirs tell me which patch they used. Any help would be appreciated.
