I am trying to capture video clip off a DVR to PC. I am running RCA cable from DVR to hauppage HVR-1600 using WINTV 7 capture software. When viewing the captured clip I notice interference/noise not present on DVR clip when shown on TV screen. Any thoughts?
Please see attached clip.

I have an HVR-1600.
The clip looks normal in specs. Describe the "interference/noise" you see.
What DVR model?
What software player are you using? Suggest MPCHC.
For some reason, mediainfo reports the encoding app as Womble Video Wizard DVD.

Looks to be the same artefact discussed here:
https://forum.videohelp.com/threads/331681-s-video-artifacts
One of my TVs has a dodgy S-Video socket and intermittently shows the same interference.
Also when I set my DVD player to output composite/CVBS but set my TV to 'expect' an S-Video signal over SCART.
dghyland; Are there any settings in the Hauppauge software where you can switch between S-Video and composite/CVBS?
Are you using any adapters between your DVR and PC?
