  1. I'd like to use handbrake to encode to mp4 for my clients. I ran a playback test on a different computer than my workstation to see if the mp4 would play and it did not...I used media player classic and an older version of QT for the test.

    Anyone know what codec the handbrake software uses and is this codec included in the lastest Windows Media Player or latest version of QT? I need to figure out a solution for my client...I can't tell them, go here to this third party site and download this codec and make sure you have this player, blah blah blah...they don't have time for that...however, if it's just updating their player they may be ok with that.

    You can choose between h264, mpeg4 asp or theora video in handbrake. WMP 12 should handle mp4 with h264 video fine.
