  1. Hi Maybe someone could help on this. I have an Asus Oplay media player that suits my needs fine. When I make any MKV with handbrake and then play it in the Asus, and hit the time skip button (jumps it forward by 1, 5, 10 minutes depending on setting), the video then plays at double speed and there is nothing I can do to get it to play at norma speed. But if I start the video playing then fast forward for a second, then hit the skip button, it's plays fine. I've noticed it only does this on Handbrake MKV's and not others. Any light you could shed on this would be great. Many Thanks in advance. Daz

It seems to be a common problem with handbrake. Try another converter like ripbot264.

  3. Hey my friend,

I had the same issue with Asus O!Play, and Handbrake. Very simple fix to the problem. You must change the framerate setting from "same as source" to manually pick the framerate (eg. 29.97, 25, 24, etc...).

After I have done this, they all play back perfectly. When pressing the display(info) button on the Asus, the bad files would show as -1 framerate, but the new files do show to be at the proper framerate.
