    Hello,

In the "music" folder, the album is saved like this:
    artist folder
    ..........album name
    .................disk 1
    .................disk 2

They show up on the "Library" screen of WMP as one long list of songs - because of this they do not match
the "updated information" (album art, track info, etc, etc) available on the internet databases.
The search results seem to indicate the info is stored separately for each CD of the double album.

How is this supposed to work ? I'm using WMP 11 in XP.

Doh! I made this much more complicated than it should ever have been.

When you rip a CD in WMP, the tracks are created, the info is extracted from the internet,
and the files are stored as per your specified naming convention all in one go.

The situation I had arises when no ripping was done . I had the 2-disk set of mp3's
created ages ago, the CD long lost, and I wanted to add those to the library.

I made the mistake of adding the whole thing at once, CD1 and CD2.
Trouble is, WMP did not keep the two folders separate - they showed up on the Library screen
as one long list of songs. Since they weren't divided into their proper disks, WMP was unable
to get any match when querying the internet for media information.

The real solution, that has since occurred to me is add one of the disks at a time and
allow WMP to update itself. When the update is complete, then add the other.
So simple when you do it the right way.
