  1. Hello, I'm new here so I don't know if this is the right place for this type of questions.
I've been wondering if it is possible to give subtitles a custom style, including font, font size, drop shadow, stroke outside the text... Even by softcoding or hardcoding. There is an example:

  2. How will you use them?

But .ASS format for text based or PGS for image based.

You showed us an example, right? So you must already know it's possible, right? Yes, ASS or SSA. I use SSA. SSA can also be converted to graphics-based DVD subtitles. Don't know if ASS can.

Softcode to MP4 file, because I've seen something similar done and some text is forced left, some right, up, down, italics etc...

Just want to change font, center the text, and adding drop shadow would be cool

  5. MP4 is limited in softcoded subtitles to .ttxt and idx/vobsub so your best option is to use idx/vobsub. I don't know your starting format?

  6. Any suggestion on vobsub software?
PS after demuxing mp4 with coded subs I got .t2 file among ac3/aac and x264? What file type is it?

  7. Use MediaInfo -> File -> Export -> Text for your mp4 and upload or paste it.

    For vobsub try Subtitle Edit.

t2 ?. ac3 audio codec (Dolby).aac Advanced Audio Codec. x264 elementary video stream with h.264 codec. How did you demux?

  8. Demuxed using MP4Muxer 0.9.3 and I'm not sure whether it is aac or ac3... Tried with MP4Box as well but an error occurred

  9. If you do not mind MKV container, it is much more flexible what you can mux in it (using mkvmerge).
