  1. Hi all!

I'm trying to convert AVI to MP4

All my 40min AVI videos are about 350mb
but my 40min MP4 videos are about 100mb, with the information below

    Video Info: H264, 640x432, 23.98 Hz
    Audio Info: AAC, 2Ch/48.0KHz/32bits
    Audio/Total: 01/01

The MP4 videos I have, have very similar quality to the AVI videos, the main difference is the size.
I want to convert my AVI to MP4 to save disk space, if possible.
If anyone can help me with this it would be very much appreciated since I'm a total n00b! =D

    Search Comp PM
Use handbrake, open avi, choose container: mp4, under the video tab set the target size to around 100 mb, convert. Done.

You can also use the very simple Freemake Video Converter or more advanced tools like Avidemux, Xmedia Recode, Ripbot264. But you might havet to calculate the bitrate manually(with a bitrate calculator) to get size you want.

  3. Try Drag Drop Convert GUI v 1.0.0.1
    1. "Encode option" checking "Encode Video and Audio"
    2. Select quality, if you want to play it on another device then "Baseline" for save but if you play it on PC only then "High10" for smaller size.
    3. Change speed to nearly compress (1 tick before end)

And then Drag and drop all file you want to convert to drop zone.
After all file encode then move them to new folder, change tab to "Content" tab, select all .h264 file and drop them into "content to" zone.

I use this program covert all video in my HDD for sake of my disk space too.
But beware filename, it can cause a problem(space and non-english char).
If you have a problem with filename, try to change it to some simple name before encode like Song.Avi
