  1. Hey guys Im new here and Im having some trouble as to how I can set up my resolution so the picture is nice and clear on my monitor.

    PC 1 is my gaming pc - i5 2500k 3.3ghz, 2 6850s, 16gb 1600mhz ram

    PC 2 is my streaming pc - amd 1090t 3.2ghz, 6850, 4gb of ram

Capture card - avermedia avertv hd dvr

My gaming pc has 2 27in monitors at 1920x1080 native res.

How I hooked it up, first card has dvi to hdmi cable going to my monitor, and then on the same card I use the hdmi output to my avertv hd dvr card. Then I clone the displays. Next from my second gpu I have my second monitor hooked up to it using hdmi. Anyway this all works I get the picture on my streaming software its nice and crisp at 720p at 60fps.

Problem is that when I put the game to 720p its blurry and dull on my 27in 1920x1080 native monitor. So Im wondering how can I play with good quality so the image is nice and clean and still capture it? Since I know this card only supports 720p and 1080i.

Any Ideas ? I cant play the game in 720p on my screen as it looks terrible just a big blur, words look like crap but on the recording it comes out nice and clean which is great but I want to enjoy the game while I play as well.

    Anyway around this ?

  2. It sounds like your monitor has poor upscaling from 720p to 1080p. Look to see if it has some different scaling algorithms. Some monitors have the ability to map a smaller input frame to a subset of the panel. So a 1280x720 input would be mapped to a 1280x720 portion of the 1920x1080 display. Of course you'll get a small picture in the middle of the monitor. That's about your only option unless you switch to 1080i.

  3. How about using something else othere than the card? like fraps or dxtory on the gaming computer? You can cap in full resolution if your system is fast enough
