  1. Trying to convert an avi to mpg to burn a vcd.
    When I load the file into TMPGEnc the audio file box does not display a file name. It will encode fine, but no audio.
    I've tried to rip the audio as a wav with virtualdub but I get an error that the requested audio compression is not compatible with the input format.
    I've never had problems converting from avi or divx before but this one has me stumped.

  2. Hi I too get the same problem and error, also tried an older version of virtualdub i'm a newbie and have spent a while checking out vcdhelp site but to no joy if there is anyone that knows why this error occours i would be very grateful.

  3. Try downloading and installing a couple of the codec 'packs' in the 'Tools' section...
