  1. I like to watch movies subtitled FAST.
I used to increase speed time of subtitled movies x2, x3, then i got used to x4.
    I use VLC PLAYER.

Some years ago, i had a DUAL CORE and a GEFORCE 8400.
I was limited to x4 in VLC PLAYER (the only i know that dont ruin sound when accelerated)

Then i got an i5, a GTX 460, and i am STILL limited to x4...
I have lots of parts of movies i want to increase to x8.

What options shall i use and how to make it possible?
I use a separated disk for movies, so nothing can interfere with i/o speed + gamebooster + av disabled to watch.

Please, only answer someone that KNOWS AND DID 8x with sucess.

i did read this thread i found and people wrote a dozen of BLABLABLA without having an answer. https://forum.videohelp.com/threads/345814-Play-a-video-at-8x-with-sound

  2. I'm able to play SD videos with subtitles at 8x with VLC. Even 960x720 AVC/MKV. Using the techniques outlined in the thread you linked to I was able to play SD videos at 32x on my i5 2500K. And SMPlayer, which was recommended in that thread worked at 8x.

You don't own the forums and you don't get to tell us what to do. I am posting just to say you're nuts. Welcome to the forums you crazy bastard.
