  1. I wanted to show off the Canon PS 230 HS, its a compact megazoom. 14x optical. I hope you like the videos. I really wish the 1080p was 30fps or 60i, but oh well.

  2. Hi,

I'm thinking about getting a 32gb sd card for my sx230 hs and I'd like to shoot video of a show I'm in that lasts in excess of 1.5 hours. I found in the manual that the camera will work with any size card and that video file size is restricted to 4gb.

The question is, will the camera continue recording video on the next 4gb file when it's done with the first 4gb file? Or will it just stop recording? IOW, is it capable of recording long segments like that if the sd card is big enough? What is your experience with the video length?

    Thanks in advance,

    Mark

Hi, I use the transcend 32gb card. has not failed me. The max I took is 2gb at 720p, that was 15 minutes. I never shot to 4gb. I assume at 4gb the camera will stop recording and you will have to start again as a separate file. Canon wants to sell thier camcorders too you know!!!!
