    Can mkv2vob convert to avi??

But just try something else like freemake video converter, xmedia recode, etc. If you want more detailed help you must provide MORE INFORMATION.

As far as I'm aware, MKV2VOB only converts MKVs to a pseudo-VOB for the PS3 - no output to AVI, and it's not guaranteed to work with every MKV.

miconba: Use something like MediaInfo, in Tree View, to get more information about the MKV you're trying to convert, and cut-and-paste the information here. Also, what are you trying to view the result on? If you're indeed trying to view it on a PS3, there are other options than trying to convert it to a VOB (with MKV2VOB) or AVI. You can also try using MultiAVCHD.

I haven't really tried to use MKV2VOB all that much - I don't use my PS3 for viewing video files, all that much... and if I do, I usually convert them to AVI/MP4 using something else, if necessary - so I probably won't be too much help with it. Someone else here may have more experience with it, however.

As I've heard, MKV2VOB doesn't work with every MKV out there. It certainly didn't like one or two of the MKVs I tried.

Which converters have you tried? Most, if not all of them, don't always create the highest-quality video and audio encoding possible by default. You have to experiment with the settings until you get a result you prefer (and even then, it might not be the same for all videos).

  6. Ai Haibara thanks for reply, i dont remember all the converters ive tried, but i only use now those that are HQ.

Only thing i am asking beacuse of this is because it seems to me that all the files (7) are the same and it only works on one.
