  1. I just recently purchased a Blackmagic Intensity Shuttle, after making sure my PC met all of the specifications (especially the USB 3.0), and after installing the drivers/software off the CD, I'm unable to capture any video. Sony Vegas doesn't seem to find the device. Adobe does find it, but can't capture it, and the capturing software that comes with the unit, displays an error stating "Too many dropped frames".

    I uninstalled all of the software, and double checked the driver and firmware version on my USB 3.0 controller, they're up to date. I installed the latest drivers off the Blackmagic website. Same issue.

    I do know, when it's connected, under Devices on Win7 pro, it does see the Shuttle, but it's an unidentified device. Any theories on what the issue might be?

    Currently have an XBOX 360 connected to it via HDMI.

    Vegas or Premiere won't see the Shuttle. Use the BM software.

    See this long thread about Shuttle issues which are many.

    Premiere DID see the Shuttle, and the BM software doesn't work either.

    your usb may be working but do you have a raid 0 disc array capable of the capturing speed needed for hdmi?

    I don't have a Raid array anymore. Would that prevent me from capturing any video at all?
    It seems like the shuttle isn't even talking to the PC properly.

    it's fickle about what specs it records. not sure it will work with an xbox360 over hdmi. the 360 puts out 1080p and the shuttle only records 1080i from what i've seen. you may need to use component cables. some research online may provide you with the answer.

    i don't think it will work with anything until you get it installed properly as an identified device. nothing can use it until the driver and device are working together.

  9. Checked Devices and Printers;

    While it's classified as an unidentified object, it's being treated as an audio object.
    Also tried installing the latest drivers (released yesterday), to no avail. Infact, the recording software that came with the device, doesn't even open because it fails to detect the device. Would rolling back to an older driver help things out?
